New Name
As you can see I've decided to change the name of my blog. No biggie. I just decided since I'm the only one that writes this and it's about my family, my crafts, my stories and so on, that it should be all mine. Plus it sounds way cuter!

Couponing
Have you watched they new show on TLC Extreme Couponing? I did, and my jaw was on the floor the whole time. I had been thinking that I needed to try clipping coupons to help with our little budget before but this just sealed the deal.
Now I'm not set on the idea of extreme couponing. A lot of what they do seems very wasteful to me. But I would like to work on our food storage a bit more. We've been told again and again to have food storage, but I must admit ours isn't more than a well stocked pantry. With all the natural disasters that have been happening and now that we have Tyce, I see the importance now more than ever.
So I've been blogging around looking for couponing blogs and found a few. Here are some I've found; The Krazy Coupon Lady was featured on TLC's show, Utah local Utah Deal Diva has some great pointers and links to sources as well.
Something I've noticed in a lot of out of state couponing blogs is that they take advantage of their stores double coupon days to receive the rock bottom prices they get. I had never heard of this before so I looked, and surfed, and googled, and from what I can tell, nothing like this exists in Utah. Grrr! So now I have so many more questions of how I can get those same rock bottom prices here in Utah with out the double coupon, it can be done right?
While surfing for newspaper prices (to get those Sunday coupons) I discovered Savvy Shopper Deals through the Standard Examiner turns out the Savvy ladies offer a weekly couponing 101 class at the standard ex offices in Ogden every Thursday at 7p.m. So I'm headed there this week; anyone want to join me?
All in all, I'm going to attempt it. I don't know how I'll do but it's worth a try!

Almost Always Smiles
Tyce is such a happy lovey baby. He's almost always smiles...almost.
He's really good at the pout cry. Even when I took these pictures he would go from crying to laughing to crying again.
Look at those teefers!
He was entranced by the lady walking by with the balloons at Robert's so we had to get one. He stared at it all day. Anytime it came floating closer to his face he would flinch and blink a thousand times, it was hilarious!
He's taken to munching on his tree like a dog bone.

Baby Gift's
Today I attended a baby shower for my friend Carrie; she's expecting her first in a few months, baby girl that they're going to name Brooklynn. I've been dying to make some cute crafts that I've found out in blog land, there are so many to choose from but I settled on two.
First is a diaper carrier and wipe case. I found this tutorial over at Make It and Love It, which can be found here. I just love all the little projects she does, plus they all seem user friendly so even a beginner sewer like me can do it on my own. I have loved these wipe cases forever and thought they would be hard to make, turns out they're easy as could be.
Next was based off of a gift that was given to me by my moms friend Kathy; a memory journal for me to keep of cute things that Tyce says and does over the years. I thought it was such a unique thoughtful gift it would be great to pass on. Kathy had covered a notebook with a sewn vinyl case, but I wanted to put my own spin on it and broke out the modge podge. I also added a growth chart and milestones list to the mix. I think it turned out pretty cute!
So much fun to make. Next on my list... homemade candy! YUM!
