San Fran

So this is a few months over due, but I had downtime today and thought why not just get it in now.

In October Tyce and I headed to Cali with my parents to visit my Mom's family.  I thought my visit was long over due since it had been like 7-8 years since I had been, and no one had met my little man but Grandma.
(Im such a slacker, there are virtually no pictures of the actual visit with family)

We decided to take some time out one day and make a day trip out to San Francisco since I had never been.  It was so much fun.  The weather was perfect!  I think I'll have to go back one day and spend more than an afternoon there it was so nice!
(plenty of pics here since we were texting them to Daddy all day long since he wasn't there)
 Alcatraz from the Warf
Looking at the Seals at the Warf

Eating lunch at Boudin Cafe; sandwiches on yummy San Fran Sourdough!
Eating ice cream at the Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Factory. Mmmm!
View from the top of the "Crookedest Road in America", we couldn't get one at the bottom looking up...let's just say Dad didn't enjoy driving in San Francisco in the least bit.
We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped at a look out on the other side.  Tyce was so happy to be out of the car! Maybe it had something to do with Grandpa's driving?
San Francisco view from the other side of the bridge.

At the end of the day we headed to a little town called Sausalito to wait out the traffic.  It was so cute, but we got there too late and all the shop were closing and it was getting dark so we didn't get to see much.  Definitely next time though!

Festival of the Tree's

Last week my Mom and I headed to the Festival of the Tree's.  This was this first time I ad ever been and holy moley was that thing huge!  Our feets were a aching when we were done... but not enough to not go shopping afterwards. :-) (Quilted Bear, H&M, Crate & Barrel)

It was so fun to see all the different decorations.  The only thing that was a little sad was seeing the pictures of the Loved Ones who have passed and trees were donated in their honor.  I am so blessed to have had a relatively worry free life in that aspect.

This was me and Mom's favorite tree.
It was a super fun day all-in-all and I think it has made it to the traditions list for next year!

Halloween

This Halloween was so much fun getting Tyce all dressed up.  I looked online forever looking for costume ideas that could be made fairly cheap and ended up with the cutest chicken.  (Mostly because it was on my kiddo.)  It is pretty much impossible to get this kid to hold still for more than 2.5 seconds these days so our photo op was a tough one.

We made sure to hit up the grandparents that live close by.

Dad is now enjoying the spoils of the night.

Earlier in the day Tyce and I carved his pumpkin.  He was more interested in the spoon than the pumpkin.

I'm really starting to get excited about the up coming holidays and the new traditions we get to start!

Fall Colors

We went for a ride last Saturday to see the fall colors.  I'm glad we went when we did, for some reason we always manage to miss them and I think if we waited even one more week they would have been past their prime.

We stopped to see the view of Bear Lake, stretch our legs, and play with weeds.

Then we headed off road to a picnic in the mountains, played in the leaves, and enjoyed the pretty fall colors.

The ride got a little long and little boring though, I wasn't the only one that thought so.

Summer 2011 Recap

We had such a busy summer.  I thought I'd do a recap in photo's since i didn't get to blog about a lot of it.

We had shots and bumps and bruises:

We had Birthdays:
We went swimming at Cherry Hill but mostly at home:

We went to our first Parade as a Family: (boring!)

We went to the petting zoo at the Weber County fair.

We also went to the Davis County Fair and saw the Bunny Barn and went to the Derby:

We went camping/hunting in Fairview.  Camping is hard with babies.

Such a busy summer and we're planning on some fun trips and experiences this fall too!
